The aim of this study was to know the increase of the learning interest of the eighth-year students of SMPN 7 Penajam Paser Utara in the Catholic Religion class, on the material of Church as a Communion using the teaching method of narrative experiential. The subjects of this study were the Catholic students of the eighth year of SMPN 7 Penajam Paser Utara comprising 6 female dan two male students. The object of the study was the increase of the students’ interest. The results of this study revealed that there was a significant increase in the students’ interest in the Catholic Religion class, by using the method of the narrative experiential on the material of Church as a Communion. It can be viewed from the increase in the percentage of the achievement of the students from 78% in Cycle I to 93% in Cycle II. It was supported as well by the increase in students’ learning results from50% in Cycle I to 100% in Cycle II.
