The method used is a literature review, examining the document Amoris Laetitia as well as related literature on family catechesis, family values within the Catholic Church, and the principles of Pope Francis' teachings. The findings of the study show that Amoris Laetitia emphasizes the importance of love that binds marriage and family, encouraging spouses to support, understand, and love each other in all aspects of their lives. Additionally, the study reveals that open communication, forgiveness, and joint prayer are key elements in fostering peace and harmony within the household. In conclusion, the application of Amoris Laetitia in family catechesis provides highly relevant guidance for Catholic families to build households full of love, mutual respect, and dedication to faith. Through this approach, Catholic families can strengthen their internal relationships and become living witnesses of God's love in everyday life.
Santo Yohanes Copyright (c) 2025 Santo Yohanes https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/250 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Transformasi Pastoral Keluarga Katolik Era Digital: Model Konkret dan Implementasi Pastoral https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/267
The Catholic Church in Indonesia is facing a new reality amid the wave of the digital revolution that has transformed the way people communicate, relate, and live out their faith. This transformation has had a significant impact on Catholic family life, which has long been regarded as the Ecclesia Domestica the first place for faith formation and the nurturing of Christian values. Challenges such as digital secularization, virtual individualism, unequal access to technology, and the culture of instant gratification have urged the Church to renew its pastoral approaches in order to remain relevant and contextual. The transformation of Catholic family pastoral care in the digital era has thus become an essential process to reaffirm the family’s role as a living center of faith formation that is dynamic and responsive to the changing times. Using a qualitative method with a literature study approach, this research explores new directions in Catholic family pastoral ministry in Indonesia and proposes concrete models of accompaniment appropriate to the digital context. The findings reveal four key models that can be pastorally implemented. First, the digital incarnation model, which emphasizes the Church’s active and human presence in the digital world as a means of marturia, koinonia, and diakonia. Second, the digital spiritual literacy model, which fosters families’ critical and ethical awareness in the use of technology. Third, the hybrid pastoral model, which integrates both online and offline engagements to preserve authentic human relationships and sacramental experiences. Fourth, the participatory catechesis model for youth, which encourages young people to become creators of digital faith content rather than passive consumers. The implication of this transformation is the urgent need for collaboration among the Church, families, educational institutions, and lay communities to develop an inclusive, dialogical, and spiritually renewing pastoral practice. Thus, the Catholic Church in Indonesia is called to transform the digital world from a perceived threat into a new space for evangelization and the growth of family faith.
Stefanus Dama Muda, Florianus Pruda Muda Copyright (c) 2025 Stefanus Dama Muda, Florianus Pruda Muda https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/267 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Spiritualitas Persaudaraan Imam Diosesan sebagai Dasar Identitas dan Kesetiaan Pelayanan Imamat https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/272
This study aims to understand the spirituality of diocesan priestly fraternity as the foundation of priestly identity and ministry within the context of a diverse and geographically vast local Church. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, it explores the lived experiences of priests in a diocese in Kalimantan in embodying fraternity values, confronting pastoral challenges, and discerning the theological meaning of communal life. Data were collected through literature review, documentation, and semi-structured interviews with 17 diocesan priests and analyzed thematically and reflectively. The findings reveal that priestly fraternity is manifested in three main dimensions: presbyteral communion as the basis of priestly identity, daily fraternal practices that nurture solidarity, and ongoing formation mechanisms that sustain vocational fidelity. Challenges such as geographical isolation, generational differences, and individualistic tendencies serve as opportunities for spiritual growth and renewal in relationships. The study highlights the distinct contribution of this research by clarifying the conceptual linkage between the three dimensions as an integrated model of diocesan priestly fraternity. The study concludes that the spirituality of fraternity is not merely a moral requirement but a theological foundation that animates the identity and pastoral mission of diocesan priests in the life of the Church.
Dominikus Lenjau Copyright (c) 2025 Dominikus Lenjau https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/272 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Iman Kabur Generasi Muda: Analisis Personalistik tentang Krisis Religius di Era Digital https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/269
This study explores the phenomenon of “blurred faith” among young people in the digital era, where belief often remains declarative but detached from communal participation and relational depth. Drawing on international and Indonesian research, the analysis highlights three expressions of blurred faith: declaration without participation, emotion without doctrinal depth, and moral privatization. Using a personalist framework inspired by Karol Wojtyła, Thomas Aquinas, and Emmanuel Lévinas, the study interprets blurred faith not merely as a decline in religiosity but as a relational crisis—a rupture of the I–Thou encounter with God and others. The paper argues that blurred faith is intensified by digital culture, which favors immediacy and emotional consumption over commitment and solidarity. By situating this phenomenon in the Indonesian context, the study emphasizes the role of local communal values such as gotong royong as a philosophical corrective. The findings point toward the need for personalistic criteria in religious education and pastoral practice to restore faith as a living relational reality.
Patricius Neonnub Copyright (c) 2025 Patricius Neonnub https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/269 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Agama dan Fenomena Sosial Kontemporer: Kajian Sosiologi Agama Atas Konflik, Bunuh Diri, dan Kecerdasan Buatan https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/270
Religious Sociology is a crucial discipline for understanding religion as a dynamic social phenomenon within the complexity of contemporary society. This study aims to analyze the scope and object of religious sociology, assess its significance for theology students, and examine the relevance of integrating classical and contemporary sociological paradigms to understand current social phenomena, such as suicide, religious conflict, and the development of artificial intelligence. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature review, with thematic analysis and comparative synthesis, the study finds that religious sociology provides an analytical framework capable of integrating structural, cultural, and symbolic dimensions, which are often overlooked by individualistic or normative theological approaches. These findings underscore the strategic importance of religious sociology as a conceptual bridge between theological reflection and social reality, while also demonstrating its relevance in addressing challenges related to pluralism, conflict, and transformations in religiosity in the digital and artificial intelligence era.
Yanto Sandy Tjang, Herkulana Mekarryani Soeryamassoka Copyright (c) 2025 Yanto Sandy Tjang, Herkulana Mekarryani Soeryamassoka https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/270 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000
