The method used in this study was qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. To obtain more valid and in-depth data, the researcher used the in-depth interview method. From the findings during the study, all interfaith parents who were the targets of this study were very concerned about the faith education of their children. This finding certainly slightly refutes the assumption that there is an apathetic attitude of interfaith parents towards the faith needs of their children. The conclusion is that the Church must continue to maintain and continue to monitor the continuity of children's faith education in interfaith families. The results of this study certainly do not automatically eliminate the negative stigma related to the deviation of children's faith in interfaith families. The Church must remain with them so that interfaith parents remain committed to educating their children in faith.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Hendrikus Kota Njuma https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/256 Evaluasi Pelaksanaan Program Pembinaan Iman Anak dan Remaja Menggunakan Model CIPP 2025-06-13T01:33:57+00:00 Rikha Emyya Gurusinga rikhaemyyagurusinga@gmail.com Johannes Sohirimon Lumbanbatu rikhaemyyagurusinga@gmail.com
This study aims to evaluate the faith development program for children and adolescents in an effort to map the program strategically at the Station of St. Hieronimus Pinem, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Tigabinanga, using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The background of this study is based on the weak structure and sustainability of the faith development program, as well as the lack of family and community involvement in supporting the growth of faith in children and adolescents. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the development program is not yet based on mapping the real needs of children and adolescents. Human resources are still limited, teaching methods are conventional, and participant participation is still low. The conclusion of this study is that the CIPP model is able to identify challenges and potential for program development as a whole. The implications of this study direct the local Church to develop a more contextual, participatory, and sustainable strategic mapping of faith development, as well as strengthening synergy between families, schools, and faith communities.
2025-06-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Rikha Emyya Gurusinga, Johannes Sohirimon Lumbanbatu https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/260 Kompetensi Kepemimpinan Guru Agama Katolik dalam Membina Toleransi Beragama Antarsiswa 2025-08-02T07:25:44+00:00 Sebastianus Aldo sebastianusaldo2002@gmail.com Donatus Dole sebastianusaldo2002@gmail.com Lorensius Lorensius sebastianusaldo2002@gmail.com
The leadership competency of Catholic religious teachers in implementation consists of planning, organizing, motivating, guiding, and maintaining. This paper is intended to provide Lay Pastoral Workers with insights into the servant leadership model based on the experiences of leaders, Church documents, and Scripture. The data presented in this paper are the result of a literature review. The author used various books, journals, articles, and related Catholic Church and Scripture documents to collect data for this study. Data analysis involved reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that servant leadership is based on the Scriptures as found in the Gospel of Mark 10:42-43 (a servant leader), the Gospel of Luke 22:26-27 (a leader as a servant who humbles himself in serving others, and the Book of Hebrews 13:7;17 (a leader who is responsible for the people he leads). As a Lay Pastoral Worker, the spirit of leadership must also be based on Church documents, as called for in the Second Vatican Council in the document Apostolikam Aktuositatem that the laity must play a role in the work of proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Therefore, a pastoral worker and as a leader of the people must have a good personality in carrying out their duties. Lay Pastoral Workers in serving must have a leadership spirit that is confident, passionate, courageous, sincere, responsible, disciplined, and capable of dealing with situations to serve the people of God. Being a leader who is not on the "leader's chair" but is in the midst of the people carrying out pastoral work for the kingdom of God, as Jesus did in leading His disciples and nations who received His teachings.
2025-09-10T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Cornelius Arnoltus https://ojs.stkpkbi.ac.id/index.php/jgv/article/view/262 Praktik Puasa Agama Katolik dan Islam dalam Menciptakan Toleransi Antarumat Beragama di Desa Kedang Ipil 2025-06-23T09:23:05+00:00 Sisilia Santi Dey santsisil@ymail.com Wilfridus Samdirgawijaya santsisil@ymail.com Fabianus Lana santsisil@ymail.com
This study aims to describe the practice of fasting in Catholicism and Islam and its contribution to interfaith tolerance in Kedang Ipil Village. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field study method through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Informants consist of religious figures, Catholics and Islam, and community leaders. The results of the study indicate that fasting in Catholicism is carried out during Lent to foster an attitude of self-control, repentance, prayer, and acts of love. Meanwhile, fasting during Ramadan in Islam has a spiritual and moral meaning, namely training people to be patient, sincere, and stay away from reprehensible actions. Both traditions show that fasting has an ethical impact on character formation and social awareness. In Kedang Ipil, harmonious religious life is supported by family relationships and local values. These findings confirm that the practice of fasting contributes significantly to the development of tolerance through spiritual, cultural, and social processes that are integrated into everyday community life.
2025-09-12T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Sisilia Santi Dey, Wilfridus Samdirgawijaya, Fabianus Lana
